   i just finished watching BSG from start to here in one week, its not just because im a bored man with time on my hands, its because i couldnt stop….wow… this has to be the BEST show i have ever seen, its well written and the acting is fantastic, it just kept me wanting more….i should have waited until 2009 to watch it though, now i have to wait patiently for the rest, but while i wait, im going to go nuts trying to figure out who is the 5th… i put my money on one of the adama’s

   going back to someone asking where they could watch episode 11 (s4). I just read that universal hd has started screening the final episodes (starting on aug 30), therefore i dont see why episode 11 etc can’t be found somewhere on the net? has anyone been lucky enough to stumble accross the new episode(s) online? or does anyone have universal hd and wouldn’t mind sharing what happening. i cant wait until 2009 to see it on here.

    What the frack? Earth is the a nuclear waste land? Does this mean the 13 colonies, are just that? A group of colonies on far reaching, life supporting planets that mankind fled to as his earthly home evaporated? I suppose it’s possible for a completely separate group of humans to have evolved apart from us on earth, but we all know that’s not were this is going. Man either originated on some distant planet and migrated to colonies, earth included, or originated on earth and migrated to the others. I’m favoring the second option given the apparent commonalities in theologies.
    By the by, the 5th is definitely not Kara, Roslin, one of the Odamas, or the hybrid kids. You all have evidence to the effect that each could be while I have none that they aren’t, and that how i know. It wouldn’t be a magic trick without misdirection.

    Ok since no one has put this out here just for fun and i know its gonna catch a lot of shit and if it does turn out to be true i will shit my self laughing so hard but im gonna say every one is a cylon they can reproduce after all the 12 models are just there to help every one see it and that’s why the cylons keep talking about how this has happened and will happen over and over again the lost tribe maybe they were the only true humans left or maybe that’s where it all started and they keep going back and fourth doing it over and over again faking history all in a effort to carry out some program they don’t even realize is going on and you know lets throw some things in there about how um yea the program is god

    Ok, follow me here, I think I’ve figured it out. She said the 5th cylon was not in the fleet. I think she was lying, and I have proof. Back in season 2, episode 5, odama was walking down a hallway in Galactica, and there was this dude that passed him, giving him the gank eye. IT’S HIM, I JUST KNOW IT!!!!!!! Or, to be more realistic, it was probably the Centurion baldar was preaching god to.

    I love the idea that they’re all just carrying out a program. But that would just be WAY too noir-ish. Why doesn’t 3 just up and SAY who it is?? I would actually be a bit disappointed if it was either Adama, Roselyn, or Balthar. And Starbuck would also be far too predictable. And what about that male cylon having a crush on her or whatever… did he say they were destined to be together? Or was that just a ploy to get her to frack him? I want to be totally blown away when we figure out who the 5 is. I kept looking for clues, but if 5 was anywhere NEAR the others, it would have heard the statis and music sounds also. I know the writers want to get some more air time out of the show, but there weren’t any clues during any of those times regarding WHO the 5th could be. I vote for the lawyer’s cat or the chain smoking doctor!

    i just had to say something about your geological prowess because it was really bugging the you know what out of me. Continental drift occurs at a rate of one inch to up to 2 and a half inches a year and NOT one centimeter per decade( LOL ) You were only about, at the very least, 2500 percent off. There might be kids reading all this who may have thought they were learning something off you, but they would just grow up being mistaught. It bugs me –where do peoplo get their information from and why post it when they dont know what the heck they are talking about. By the way–someone way back in posts, mentioned something about taking a guess about where exactly on earth they landed at the end of “Revelations”. IDK if anyone else had a guess for the fun of it, but i say they were standing on the New Jersey side of the Hudson River, near the base of the George Washington Bridge, and looking out into N.Y. ( Manhattan)

    hey, anyone ever think of the unborn child of 6 and TY? 3 said that the 5th was not in the fleet but think about it. if its a cylon and its not “built” yet since both are cylons it could be that 3 diddnt know the 5th was in the fleet because it wasnt “online” yet. on another note the 5th could be the one who “miraculously” saves starbuck and sent her back in that new ship conveniently placing the only receiver capable of finding the signal leading everyone to earth

    i got it…the final fifth cylon. It says it all in the intro.

    if you add up:
    the number of cylons (12)
    the known cylons (7)
    the unknown cylons (4)
    the final one we dont know (1)
    we get: 24

    the number of original survivors (49,998)
    minus the number of current survivors (39,665)
    we get:10,333

    plus the 2 Adamas(both of whom are in power) (2)
    Laura and Baltar for their leadership (2)
    we get:4

    add the human numbers up: 10,337
    and the cylon number: 24
    now set these two numbers up on an X,Y (24,10337)graph and draw a right triangle

    then find sin of (24,10337) and use that number to count up a name a=1 b=2 ect.

    And we find that the final fifth cylon is… drumroll please!

    ME!!!

    its the only one that make’s scene. Baltar was program to help the cylons to destory the 12 colonies, in order to look for a new home and bring a new hope for the people( meaning religion from geek mythology to one single god). all of the other 4 cylons have a program that drives them crazy( the music they all heard to bring them together, or the music they heard to bring them to earth) Baltar has the same thing but he is only seeing anther cylon. he is the only other people that influence the head cylon into making her disunion not to destroy the fleet, other wish they would not have made it to earth. its the only one that makes any scents but they can throw a curve ball in, u never now.

    i am still thinking there will be a war still between the cylons and humans… but not between the 12 cylons, just the Regular ones, i think they might turn bad and start a war because they gave them a consonance and they might feel they need to evolve to, but they are more like slaves to the 12 cylons then anything.

    just like someone said above i feel as well, that earth was destroyed in a war.. but it was a war between the peoples religion. how they still believe in the Greek methodology, the people that believed in different gods in the methodology had a war amongst each other, till the earth was uninhabitable, so they set out to live on different worlds. they still contacted each other… but they didnt fight like they did on earth… till the cylons came long to bring them all together…

    I think the 5th cylon is Helo. Chief had a baby with Callie, and Sol got the prisoner 6 pregnant. Clearly these final five cylons have the ability to mate with either human or cylon. Helo fits the bill, as he had a baby with Athena. There is no other proof of a complete human impregnating a cylon (so far). And Hera is supposedly something very special.

    I think the final five are a sort of hybrid cylon with aspects of both humans and cylons.

    Time will tell, I guess.

    I think it’s Dualla. Right when Geata says that “both constellations are a match”, everyone begins to celebrate. There is a shot outside of the entire fleet and “Earth” with powerful music, then the music quickly changes and a sudden cut to Dualla’s face looking at Adama with him in the foreground barely visible. I think it’s alluding to something.

    I think it’s either Dee or Lee. Don’t have any real reason except a feeling . . . and Dualla fits the mold of cylon women (incredibly hot). I guessed 3 out of the 4 cylons (Ty, Chief, and Anders) while still watching season 2, so I’m thinkin’ I’ll stick with my gut and bet it’s either Lee or Dee.

    wow, way to go everybody. some of you are really….imaginative. dust, please learn how to spell. im not claiming to have a clue who the 5th cylon is, i just use reason to logically eliminate possibilities. it probably isnt lee or zac, because that would mean Admiral Adama would have to be a cylon or have an implanted memory of his sons birth. it just doesnt work. its not 3 b/c of the math, there would only be 11 cylon models. starbuck is too obvious. and thanks to garab for putting idiots in their place. and to square wheel man get a brain, that was obviously north america. it also doesnt make sense that the 5th cylon is a child, or an unborn child. in the opera house there were 5 figures. all adult. its not boltair b/c that would be too easy. and coco johnson, go back to school and take math again.

    Well, you haven’t dealt with the real questions here:

    How did Kara survive the explosion in Jupiters Eye?
    Where did she get her brand new Viper from?
    What did she spent almost 2 months on? (She said she had only been flying above Earth and then returned. Did she Jump all the way or did she arrive at Earth at once, and then left?)
    Who helped Kara with arriving at Earth since she did’nt know the way herself?
    Is the fifth cylon someone that we know, or is it someone on Earth that we don’t know of? (If it is someone that we don’t know of, it would be ridiculous, as that would change the story and take it in a new direction away from the storyline!)
    If the fifth cylon would be the Viper itself, would’nt the hybrid onboard the Cylon Basestar feel it come online as she did with Diana?
    The baby, Hera, what is her role in this?

    Its my option nothing more, that the final cylon will be one of the lovely supporting characters, who we never see enough of, like lampkin, the priestess who died on cobol, seelix or perhaps someone else who did one signifcant thing through out all the series? I don’t know, we’ll have to wait till janury to find out but it is most definatly going to be someone that we won’t expect at all, it has been the long reaching motieef of the series thus far, though just putting it out there it would be quite interesting if the final cylon was cally, seeing as we now know cylons can breed and it would add an interesting internal struggle within the final cylons, though i spose it would put the number of cylons up to 13 because of nicky, so who knows.

    I’ve read through all these comments, but I haven’t seen anybody post this comment yet, so stop me if I’m being repetitive, but:

    In “Faith”, Starbuck talks to the Hybrid, who tells her: “The missing Three will get you the Five, who have come from the home of the Thirteenth.”

    Has anyone considered that the “Thirteenth” isn’t a colony, but perhaps a thirteenth Cylon model? All this time, we’ve been led to believe there are twelve models, but the Cylons have been wrong before. Just a thought…

    The final Cylon,.. I have no clue… but the best lead i can give is that the three D’anna Biers says “You, Forgive me I had no idea” I think its someone she’s killed during the reign on New Caprica. Not being on the fleet means that this person could be Adama (in the waiting raptor) or i think, Maya. could be wrong on the names but the individual is an instant tell.

    AS for locales on “earth” Some Say various views of NYC , I have heard some even say Sydney or Vancouver ( kudos for some thinking beyond USA = centre of the universe!!)

    Why its not either NYC or Sydney.
    The bridge, and various views.
    Why not NYC,.. well from what I understand breifly, the various bridges in question have no rebar steel in them, which the picture shows.

    Why Not Sydney is more detailed. Sydney’s high rises are all clustered in the centre. not spread over even a few clicks. the Bridge. Well the main giveaways are the itty bitty stick Pylons, and modern rebar. The Harbour bridge was built in the thirties, from steel purpose made in Newcastle UK. Any remains would be more twisted Box Girders than rebar steel. One strong bridge too,.. has been suggested it could survive relativley intact from a multi burst nuclear attack on sydney, or for another 5,000 years with maintenance
    The pylons are made of hard wearing sydney gold sandstone and about 100ft wide at the base. Plus the fact that the North Shore end ( the likely POV) has massive causeways leading up to it. What was behind that bridge appeared to be a big nothing. The other side view of the bridge should show THE Opera House and again,.. nothing.
    I’m leaning more to it being city generica but enough half right emotional connections for Three major Global capitals to hook those audiences in

    Any guesses on where they landed on Earth (if on Earth at all!) I think they landed in Sydney.

    1) the Bridge would be the Sydney Harbour Bridge

    2) if the landing area is Sydney, then in what may be a coincidence, the party would have landed next to the real-life location of a Saint Aloysius’ College, which is a Roman Catholic college, and is adorned with a large cross. In the episode a large cross can be seen sitting amongst a pile of rubble

    3) directly across the bay from Saint Aloysius’ College stands the most famous Opera House on Earth, the Sydney Opera House!!!!

    the 5th is Zak and Ellen Tigh is an older version of no.6

    About Rossling and Adama father being cylons: there is this chapter in first session where rossling thinks adama is a cylon and everybody, in the end, is tested with Baltar’s cylon detector. There we don’t know if they are cylons, but actually baltar knows it. Later, Baltar asks many times the cylons about the five cylons model identity. I guess if Adama father or Rossling are cylons, then either the detector doesn’t work or it would be a little inconsistent.

    On Helo being a cylon:

    As some of you may remember, many of the Cylons were infected with a plague on their base ship back in Season 3 (or was it 2.5?) The humans were saved from this disease because of their human genes, however, Sharon was just as lucky. She survived the disease because of the influx of Helo’s human blood through her placenta when she was pregnant.

    It is not possible that she was immune because of her time spent with humans, because it wasn’t until after the attack on Caprica, that she was in the presence of a human.

    I do not remember however, if Tighe was ever in contact with the diseased Cylons, any idea? could it spread so quickly if he was?

    I don’t believe Roslin is a Cylon. The whole cancer thing, it would really be a long shot if she was.

    similarly, if Adama was a Cylon, I think it would simply be too much.

    my friends and I often joke that Galatica, the ship itself, is the 5th. ha.
